Micromeritics' Senior Product Scientist and Training Manager, Tony Thorton, appointed Chairman of ISO Sub-Committee on Particle Sizing.
He will assist in the establishment of U.S. and International Particle Sizing Standards. In 2004 Tony received the ASTM Award of Merit for outstanding technical contributions to and masterful leadership of Committees B09 on Metal Powders and Metal Powder products, and E29 on Particle and Spray Characterization.

1998 ASTM Award of Appreciation
Micromeritics recently received an Award of Appreciation from the ASTM Committee D-32 on Catalysts in recognition for its many years of outstanding service and active participation in the work of the committee. In this committee, Micromeritics has worked to help develop standard methods for mercury porosimetry, surface area and pore volume determinations, density, chemisorption and TPD / TPR studies, and density determinations. Micromeritics is also working with other ASTM committees in areas where we have an interest.
