Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide industry leading, high-quality training to prepare scientists, engineers and technicians for the field of material characterization through class room discussion and hands-on experience using Micromeritics instruments. Our focus is to facilitate a positive and invigorating educational experience with a combination of our team of world renowned experts and advanced technology.  

Micromeritics Instrument Corporation – Micromeritics Learning Center is a nationally accredited professional development educational institution as declared by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), an accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education

During the installation of most new instruments, Micromeritics provides basic start-up training. However, in order for you to get the most out of your Micromeritics instrument, more in-depth training for your laboratory personnel may be necessary. To address this need, Micromeritics proudly offers basic and advanced training for many of our instruments and applications at our Training Center in Norcross (Atlanta) Georgia. The foundation established by these courses provides a platform on which you can continue to build in the years to come.

These training courses are highly recommended if you:

  • want a cost-efficient, quality training program for new laboratory personnel
  • are new to Micromeritics instruments and gas adsorption theory, porosity measurement theory, or particle size theory
  • are experienced with Micrometrics instrument operation but need a better understanding of what the instrument is actually doing
  • supervise people who operate Micromeritics instruments and need to understand data generation for review and troubleshooting
  • simply need a refresher on instrument theory, operation, and basic troubleshooting in order to maintain up to date training records for your laboratory
  • have a new application for your Micromeritics instrument and need the background to develop, validate, and execute new methods.

In addition to the scientific theory and hands-on instrument training, attendees receive a complimentary copy of the book Analytical Methods in Fine Particle Technology, a class Study Guide, as well as a Micromeritics thumb drive containing various Application Notes, Product Bulletins, Tech Tips, and other relevant technical resources. Snacks and a lunch are provided each day and a Certificate of Achievement with the Continuing Education Units (CEUs) earned is awarded to each trainee at the end of the course.

We encourage you to take advantage of our expertise and participate in our training classes. Micromeritics has been providing training to improve instrument operators, analysis skills, and theory of measurement for over 20 years.
